Head of the flagstaff 2nd-3rd centuries AD

About the collection

Gonio, Khelvachauri Municipality

Got from accidental find

Size: 4.9X2.5 cm

Gold

It has three tiers, cone-shaped. Adorned with plain and false granulation. In the middle part and along the edges there are attached by the use of the gold hoops and double arcs damaged discs tied in knots in threes and hung on a chain (some of them are lost). It may well be so that the object represents a top of a legion standard.
